Welcome to the world of Ayesha Bilal — a poet, a seeker, and a storyteller of the human experience.

Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Ayesha's early years unfolded in a city shaped by remarkable cultural, linguistic and social diversity. Her academic journey led her to study English Linguistics as well as Arabic Language, nurturing a deep appreciation for language, expression and the many ways people understand the world around them.

Her journey later brought her to the United Kingdom, where living among people and cultures from across the world further broadened her perspective. The movement between places, languages, cultures and experiences has enriched the way she observes people, relationships, emotions, society and the quiet moments of everyday life.

Poetry became her way of making sense of those observations — turning thoughts into words, moments into memories, and emotions into verses.

Writing under her poetic pseudonym GIV — Girl in Veil, Ayesha explores the visible and invisible layers of life: identity, love, faith, relationships, nature, childhood, existence and the questions that quietly live within us.

Pearls of Soul is the beginning of that journey. It is followed by Titli — the Urdu word for butterfly — and Equinox in Spring, with her forthcoming work, I and Me, continuing the journey inward.
